Riley’s House – Riley and his family live in a small approximately 700 square foot home.  This home is not conducive to Riley’s now let alone pose post transplant.  Riley receives his therapy in his very small living room but eventually will need more space as he grows and he will also need a space to learn because in reality Riley will most likely never be able to attend regular school because of the germ factor.  Riley’s Mommy & Daddy will never be able to do the modifications needed to Riley’s house due to the financial strain of having such an ill child.  Riley’s Mommy is his fulltime caretaker so she no longer works her fulltime job.  Riley’s Daddy works usually 7 days a week to keep the family afloat there is no extra money for home modifications and they can not risk the financial insecurity of attempting to purchase a bigger home.  Riley’s new house will be more energy efficient for Mommy & Daddy, it will have a therapy/class room for Riley, and it will have a bedroom that Riley can call his very own.  It will have the square footage necessary to enable Riley and his family to live a somewhat normal life with a child that will spend most of his days in his home.
