Riley's path has taken an unexpected turn.  It appears that his very fragile veins are failing him.  It seems that his only option is a Heart/Lung Transplant.  As of Monday, November 2, 2009 Riley is offically listed for his transplant.
Please pray as we start this new transplant journey.

Carol and Darren had been friends since high school and after many years ran into each other and fell in love. Carol was raising her son alone and going to school for MST when they met again. From the first moment they ran in to each other they were together all the time just the 3 of them that is because Christian fell in love with Darren as well. Carol and Darren along with Christian were married on July 4, 2006 in Las Vegas. Just about a year later we received news Carol was pregnant Carol and Darren were ecstatic about their growing family and the journey began.

On April 4th Riley Curtis O'Brien came in to this world and became everyone's little miracle.  He has proven that the power of prayer, faith, hope can make one little boys life an amazing one.  Riley's first few weeks of life while still hard have proven to be extraordaniary.  He still has a very long road ahead of him but if we all keep praying for him I am sure he will do just fine.
